The stiletto is a re-creation of an antique sewing tool that has many uses for quilters, seamstress, needle crafters, quilling crafters and appliquers. It can be used as a ripper where stitches are too fine for the regular ripper. It is also handy for easing fabric under the foot of the sewing machine or for holding down lace or ribbon as it is being sewn into a garment. Appliquers have discovered it’s very sharp point is helpful for coaxing turn-under allowances on appliques. When a temporary hand stitch is used to mark the fabric and it is sewn over with a machine, the stiletto is used to remove the temporary stitches without dislodging the permanent ones. Pierce tiny holes in paper or cardstock. You can also use it to remove small or stuck pieces from Big Shot dies.
The tip on the seam ripper is small and thin enough to pick any size of stitch without grabbing the fabric underneath, while the safety ball in the tip keeps fabric safe.
Something unique for that someone special... just because...
