FAQs

About Items made wholly or partly of wood - Wood has unique characteristics and color variations, even within the same species. If you make multiple purchases of the same item there may be slight differences in color and appearance. Because of the variations in cameras, monitors, and lighting, there may be slight differences between the actual item and pictures. This is normal. We will always try to post color-accurate photos and are happy to provide additional details on request. Please also note that our items are hand-finished with a variety of finishes designed to provide a long-lasting, durable finish that protects the natural beauty of the wood. All wood will change in appearance and develop “patina” over time. This is normal.

If you request a customized item, we require payment in full for all items before work begins.

Unless stated otherwise, metal components are PLATED. Gold is a soft metal, and easily susceptible to nicks, dents, and bending. Gold-PLATED items are stronger and more durable and are the best choice for items that will be handled frequently. 10k, 14k and 24k gold is used in our products. Lower karats of gold tend to be more durable. When we describe a finish as "Gold" it is most likely 10k or 14k gold-plate. 24k gold is purer, more expensive, and usually identified as such. "Gold Titanium" is not gold, but is titanium colored to look like gold, but with a finish that lasts like titanium.
