We offer our wooden blanks in alder, ash, basswood, cherry, maple and oak. Because of the variety of engravers and laser engravers available, there really isn't a best wood to use. It depends on your machine, what you are using it for and your own personal preference. Alder, cherry and maple are the most popular woods used for engraving but we've sold plenty of oak as well as ash and basswood too. If you're not sure what's best for you, you can always try one of our sample lots.
