Our alpacas are raised sustainably in southern Oregon. Traditional livestock practices mean that our alpacas have their needs met, so they are healthy with no chemicals used in our husbandry. They eat grass, weeds, kelp & flax.
We offer alpaca hides, from suri and huacaya alpaca. The fiber length is typically 3-6 inches in length. Hides vary, on average length is at least 50", and width at least 30", some much longer/ wider.
Our hides are tanned by local artists, using chemical-free methods and real hand labor. We use only traditional practices and no chemicals. We're proud to bring these quality hides to US markets from southern Oregon. Our approach means they're safe enough to use for a new-born baby cradle.
Each hide is unique, the product of years of livestock breeding and each one is hand-crafted. Many of our hides have been placed in service as a newborn baby cradle. Our hides are also well suited for 'paleo' or primitive fashion end uses.
