This little fairy starts from a common mold. I mix my own clay, I press them and freeze them, before I unmold them. I detail them by hand and bake them twice. I blush, paint the details and bake them again. I then use a special wax finish to make them more life like...and bake them again. Then they get their wings.
Angel, fairy or elf - they are all a bit different and all hand detailed. I have been working really hard and have many to list. They make a great memorial for someone that has lost a child. They are great for the fairy collector or a dreamer as well. I think they would be a beautiful decorations for a child's room or nursery. A friend of mine did her daughters room in Cecily Mary Barker things and I always imagined something three dimensional being the perfect touch.
I use a business card to give you an idea of how big they are. All the wings are either hand made or carefully cut out from printed wings. I have been told I couldn't have white and clear angel wings because there is no white printer ink and the computer reads white as nothing.....so I made my own wings! I have made extra and will be listing them as well.
