FAQs

Custom or made-to-order items generally take me about a week to create, depending on the season or how many orders I have. Sometimes it is 2 weeks. I also have a full time job to work around. Spring and Summer are a busy time of the year! I will always let you know ahead of time how long it will take me. If you have a deadline I can get it there on time.

It's carnauba wax, a harmless protective coating like car wax, that I apply when your piece is completed. It makes it nice and shiny and helps protect it from the elements. I try to get all the powder off but sometimes I miss some that will get in between the glass and the foil edge. This can easliy be wiped away with a soft dry cloth or an old toothbrush.

All my stained glass items are made with lead based solder, EXCEPT the jewelry and Christmas ornaments. Wash your hands! You should wear gloves if you are handling them frequently. My jewelry and ornaments are made with a special lead free solder which is a little more expensive but is not harmful.

I currently only ship to the United States and Canada. In the past I've had bad luck with packages getting lost for years and then magically reappearng in my mailbox after going on a worldwide tour. I'm still warming up to the idea; maybe in the future.

Yes! I recycle boxes and packing material, and I shop online alot. So I reuse those boxes I get from AMZ and other sites instead of throwing them out. It's a big money saver and "they" tell me it helps the environment. Sometimes I will turn the box inside out so the logo doesn't show. I also reuse clean foam sheets, bubble wrap, and boxes from the local grocery store. It's ugly but it works really well.

This hasn't happened yet, and hopefully it never will. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! But please let me know ASAP if your beautiful glass arrived broken and sad. You can contact me through etsy or email me at ErinsGlassGarden@gmail.com. I will be happy to make you a new one. If for some reason I can't make another I will refund your order.

I really wish I did. Unfortunately since I don't have alot of room in my workshop, the glass colors I have in stock are always changing. If you ask for yellow streaky glass, you may not get the exact same glass in the photo. I try to keep several types of each color on hand in case I run out. Also, each piece of glass is unique, so even if it is the same glass as the photo, it is going to look different. If you have a very specific color in mind, please contact me before ordering so I can make sure I have the glass you need. I can always order more glass. For custom orders I always send you photos of what you're getting before I ship it. I really want you to love them as much as I do!

I can gift wrap any suncatcher purchase: https://www.etsy.com/listing/606995761/add-gift-wrap-to-any-suncatcher-purchase I currently do not offer gift wrap on my garden stakes, because these require a lot of ugly packing material to keep them safe on their journey. However, you can add a gift message during checkout.
