Item details

Please note that this listing is for a PDF pattern -- it is NOT for a finished object or a 'printed-on-paper' pattern. The PDF will be available for download (1.38 MB) on receiving your payment. Naturally, no shipping applies.

If you're looking for handmade mini knick-knack bags, click the "Bags and Totes" section of this shop (on the right).

This pattern is for a quilted mini knick-knack bag that measures approximately 7" (H) x 5" (W) x 3" (D) when completed. The pattern can be adapted for larger or smaller bags by adjusting the dimensions of everything. This pattern has been tested; it includes full written instructions, with more than 20 photos illustrating each step of the process.

An example bag made from this pattern is available for sale from my store:

The bag's construction requires basic straight stitching. However, at times there are many layers to stitch through, so you will need a walking foot for your sewing machine, and, if you want to do free motion quilting to embellish the outer fabric, you'll also need a suitable foot for that (typically a darning foot), as well as some experience with free motion quilting.

You can make and sell the bags created with this pattern, as long as they are not mass produced. I reserve the rights to the design, the pattern, and the written instructions. The pattern is for personal use only, is not to be reproduced in any way and is protected by copyright laws. I have faith that you will respect the hours and creativity that have gone into producing this pattern.

REMINDER: This listing is for the PDF pattern only, not the mini knick-knack bag. If you're looking for handmade mini bags, click the "Bags and totes" section of this shop (on the right). Or if you want me to make a bag for you, in your choice of colors, start a conversation with me.

Fabric required to make ONE mini knick-knack bag pattern:
* 9" x 18" rectangle of main fabric (outer)
* 9.5" x 18" rectangle of lining fabric (inner)
* 9" x 18" rectangle of fusible batting (e.g. Vilene)
HANDY HINT: One fat quarter will make the outers for two of these knick-knack bags.

File delivery
Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed. Here's how.

All prices are in US dollars (unless you change the currency!).

I expect payment when you place your order. If payment is not made within three (3) days of me receiving your order, I reserve the right to cancel the sale and relist the item(s) for sale.

I only take PayPal payments.

Returns & exchanges

I will refund overpaid postage if the actual amount I'm charged for postage by Australia Post exceeds the amount you paid by $5 or more. Let me give you an example: If you paid $10 postage on an item, but it only cost me $5 to ship it, I'll refund you the $5 extra you paid. If you paid $10 for postage and it cost me $9 to ship, I won't refund the difference (PayPal takes a fee on every refund, and for amounts less than $5 it's not worth it).
