I have been designing jewelry for years and my work has appeared in Jewelry Stringing Magazine and other jewelry-making publications, and I am the author of Global Style Jewelry (Interweave 2016). All the patterns in this e-magazine are Anne Potter originals, with directions formatted as I write them for magazines. And I put great care into making this pattern beautiful, because I like pretty things. Happy Creating!

Anne Potter’s Travelogues are such a wonderful idea! I’ve always loved Japanese design and look forward to trying (or adapting) some of Anne’s creations. The collection is amazing in its richness and variety! The Quilted Cuff (no. 213) is calling my name — I am always eager to try new techniques. As a newcomer to jewelry design, I tend to rely too much on symmetry. Anne’s design 216 (Kamakura Necklace) demonstrates what can be achieved not only through asymmetry but also the combination of diverse media. I especially appreciate how she sets the historical stage for the themes she pursues in her art. Finally, I am grateful that she has taken the time not only to inspire us, but also to clearly document how to go about making the pieces. Thanks, Anne!
