Eastern Bluestar is a 1-3 ft., erect-stemmed perennial that grows in a tidy clump. Blue star shaped flowers bloom in clusters in May, foliage remains attractive all season and in Fall turns golden yellow.
Loved by a variety of pollinators and butterflies Blue star will grow well in full sun or part shade and thrives in most any garden soil. Once established this hardy plant will tolerate drought.
Perfect plant for garden borders or as a central show piece requiring little care or maintenance. Plants may be pruned after flowering but when not will produce long narrow seed pods in the fall.
