Harris Tweed is a very unique textile, which I just love working with. Woven by the islanders in their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the islands of Harris, Lewis, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Barra (The Outer Hebrides) and made from pure virgin wool, dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.
Harris Tweed production is protected by The Harris Tweed Act of Parliament 1993, which strictly outlines the conditions in which the cloth can genuinely be made.
Any knitting, needles or wool in the photos is not included in the sale.

FAQs
Within the UK I use 1st class Royal Mail. International purchases under $25 are shipped via Royal Mail and delivery is approximately 6-8 days. Purchases over $25 are shipped via tracked international mail and take approx 6-8 days.
For ease and convenience you can add a cake winding service to your purchase for $1. If you are winding your own yarn, remember to have the skein taut before cutting off the ties otherwise you could end up with a sad puddle of yarn. Normally every skein has three ties and just snip at the point of the knot.
All my yarn is sustainable and comes in UK 4 Ply or DK. In 4 ply I stock: merino, sock, cashmere, silk and yak. In DK I stock, merino and sock. Both can be used in a wide variety of patterns however it is important to check your tension by knitting a tension square :)
Whilst almost all my yarns can be washed in the machine I recommend that you wash in warm water and dry flat. This will help to extend the life of any garment. All of my yarns are rinsed after dyeing and there should be no colour bleeding. However sometimes a yarn may bleed if it is an intense colour so for the first wash I would keep those colours separate.
