Item details

This is not a set. Price is for one knife.

The blade is O-1 high carbon tool steel. It is forged, ground, hardened, and sharpened then mounted in a handle turned from various species of wood reclaimed from the local dump, or tree trimmings. total length is between four and six inches.

most of the wood is split from logs. the best is used for spoon carving. The handles are made from stock that is too small for spoons.

An excellent description of the ancient Viking art of kolrosing can be found at Pinewood forge who also sell an excellent knife and video of the art.

Average review
Lovely work on the knife. Fits perfectly in my hand, and is beautiful to look at! Looking forward to many years of use.
