1☼ Unless specified differently in the listings, the following under 2☼ applies.
2☼ Items to customers within the U.K. will be dispatched by First Class service with the aim of next day delivery, or by Recorded Signed For Next Working Day, track-able, Royal Mail service.
Items to customers outside the U.K. will be sent by Royal Mail's Airsure service; this service is also track-able. If the service is track-able, you will receive the tracking number and web address to track your shipment, soon after dispatch. I retain the proof of postage.
Additional information for international customers:
All my cushions and cushion covers are sent with Royal Air Mail International Signed and Tracked service. It is a reliable, and normally fast service.
Royal Mail aim to deliver International Tracked & Signed items to Europe within 3-5 working days and within 5-7 working days to the rest of the world. These delivery times are to the overseas borders, not to the recipient's delivery address. Unfortunately Royal Mail do not guarantee delivery target times, as each overseas postal service have their own processing time scales. However, Tracked and Signed service is treated with special care and attention both by Royal Mail and Royal Mail Partners.
Cases of lost mail are very rare with these services. However, I would like to point out the following information from Royal Mail :
An International Air Mail Tracked and Signed item sent to Europe is only considered lost if it is not delivered within 20 working days after the due date (delivery aim). For an item going to the rest of the world this is 25 working days after the due date (delivery aim).
Claims regarding items lost by the postal services can only be started after these 20 or 25 days. Claims are handled very seriously and when the mail services declare the parcel lost, I will refund the full cost of the item(s).
3☼ All my items will be well packed and should arrive in a good, dry condition. I will put as much effort into your items' packaging and posting, as I did into designing and making them.
4☼ Please take into consideration that shipping costs include packaging materials, labeling, postage fees and time.
5☼ I ship the orders to the address as given by Etsy within the order. Please let me know at the time of ordering (!), whether you'd like to ship your order elsewhere.
1☼ Please note that customers from outside the United Kingdom are responsible for the payment of any and all of their country's and/or state's import taxes, custom's fees and such like.
2☼ Failure to make a confirmed payment within the item's listed dispatch time will result in a cancellation of your purchase and a re-listing of the item or items.
3☼ I prefer to receive payments via PayPal as I pay fewer charges that way. If my potential customer, however, does not have a PayPal account, I hope she or he will use one of the other payment options. I'd rather not loose out on a sale for this reason.
Returns & exchanges
Please do try to avoid returns; ask any question before you buy.
1☼ In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within a week to arrange a return of the unused item(s). The return shipping cost will be for the buyer who returns the item(s). Once I have received the items in good order, a refund will be paid as soon as possible. Please take into consideration that the costs of the refund are those imposed by the original payment option, and will also be for the buyer. Please return the item(s) as carefully packaged as I sent it to you.
2☼ Any item that returns to me from the buyer as "undeliverable" will be checked and re-listed for sale on Etsy. In this case postage and packaging fees are non-refundable. Any "undeliverable" items might so be sold to another customer before the original buyer contacts me. Refunds are then discussable and will incur the refund charge of the original payment option and a reasonable processing fee from me.
3☼ The order's p&p fees are not refundable.
4☼ Etsy fees, credit card fees and PayPal fees are not refundable.
5☼ Any additional cost charged by the postal services, carrier or courier to return the order to me will be on the account of the customer, and will be deducted from the refund sum. If the refund sum is too small to cover these additional costs, action to claim this amount from the customer, together with claiming costs, will be taken.
6☼ Custom orders cannot be returned.
Please take the following into consideration:
The shipping fees are not refundable because this money was spent on packaging and on Royal Mail fees.
Etsy takes a percentage off the total item(s) price or off the total sale price depending on the payment option; not refundable.
Another percentage is taken off the order total by the credit card company or by PayPal; not refundable.
1☼ Should you wish to purchase more than one item and would like to check whether combined p&p charges might be less, please send me a message and I will gladly work it out for you.
2☼ The sizes of my items are approximate.
3☼ Great care is taken to photographically represent my items as well as possible, but I'm not a professional photographer. Photos are taken in natural light as much as possible.
4☼ I do occasionally accept custom orders, but please note that these cannot be refunded. For these custom orders I will ask a deposit. Once the custom order is ready, the customer will be notified via an Etsy message/ conversation. The custom order will expire after a limited time after this notification, and will then be listed as a regular, non-reserved listing that can be bought by any customer. The deposit of an expired custom order will be refunded as per my refund policy.
5☼ My workshop is smoke and pet free, and my items are stored in zip-sealed plastic covers at home, until sale.
6☼ The fabrics I use are often from purchases of opportunity and are therefore of limited availability. The number of listed items for sale tends to be final as I might not be able to get hold of extra material for the same price.
