FAQs

We strive for consistency with our processed brass. After processing our .223/5.56 brass measures on par with SAMMI specifications between 1.7480in.-1.7515in. Those are tight tolerances! More consistent brass helps create more consistent loads. Purchasing processed brass will save you time as well. Our processed brass orders are designed so that you can cut open the box and start loading! (INSPECT ALL COMPONENTS PRIOR TO LOADING) We estimate, based on internal testing for personal use, that our processed once-fired brass should last 2-3 reloads before needing to be trimmed again.(This is not a guarantee) *Blue Ridge Brass, LLC always recommends inspecting ALL components thoroughly before each loading session*

We would love to make you something custom, whether a decal or to put together a special order of brass, we can help! Just message us or hit "Request Custom Order", we try to respond to all messages and requests within 24hrs, if we do not shoot us a reminder and we will help! Also, when putting together a special order of brass it is an easy way for us to get you the best price on shipping possible, it could save a lot of money.

At this time due to import/export laws and ammunition manufacturing regulations restricting the sale/transfer of ammunition and components, we cannot ship brass or shotgun shells outside of the United States. Decals are available for international purchase and shipping. If you have questions regarding our international shipping policies feel free to contact us directly.

Yes, however this is only done for specified quantities. Typically a listing specifying a count or number of pieces (ex. 10ct shotgun shells or 500ct 9mm) will be hand counted or tray counted for accuracy. If the listing specifies a weigh as the unit of measure instead of specific count, the order will be filled based on the described weight of the listing. We do try to ensure that orders are as accurate as possible. Estimated brass counts for these listings are provided in the description section of the item.

Blue Ridge Brass, LLC does not prefer to sell dirty range brass because by nature it lowers the overall quality and value of our brand. We pride ourselves on selling the highest quality reloading brass and shotgun shells. It is difficult to uphold that promise if you pay for brass that we have not thoroughly inspected and cleaned. At that point we have not provided you the service and quality you deserve. Brass comes to us in all conditions and sizes. When we sort, inspect, clean, and polish it we know we are selling a product that ourselves and our customers can be proud of! We do offer specific listings and quantities that allow for the purchase of raw/dirty brass. These listings will offer specifics about this in their descriptions.

Our decals come in a variety of colors and sizes! All decals are made out of vinyl with an adhesive backing. Our decals may feel thin but are tried and true outdoor vinyl, tested to last upwards of 5 years! We trust and proudly display our decals on our vehicles! Send us a review with a picture of your decals being displayed too!

We do de-prime processed brass as part of making it ready to load. However we do not intentionally de-prime our cleaned brass because it is part of our guarantee that we are providing Once-Fired brass from law enforcement/military ranges. Our competitors may use the extra step of de-priming to disguise or camouflage brass that is NOT, in fact, once-fired. Blue Ridge Brass, LLC DOES sell reloading brass that is not guaranteed once-fired, HOWEVER, these items and listings will have a disclaimer in their description stating that primers may be missing and that this brass was sourced from a private range. These listings are typically for more rare calibers of rifle and pistol brass.

Yes we can! Just message us we will do the rest. This service can be offered on select calibers only and will be an additional cost due to time and equipment necessary to do so properly and accurately.

Blue Ridge Brass, LLC has the equipment necessary to process certain calibers of rifle brass. Message us and let us know the caliber and quantity of brass you would like to have processed. This service is offered based upon availability and price will vary dependent upon time of year and volume of order/workload. We can help with getting you the best shipping rate to mail your brass to our facility, process and inspect the brass and finally return your processed brass back to you. And the best part is WE will pay the return shipping back to you for amounts up to 1500 pieces! For orders of 1500+ we will charge a small shipping and handling fee to be determined at the time of purchase. Cost of processing service is calculated per piece.

Annealing is the heat treatment of specific calibers of rifle brass. Annealing only heats the case mouth and neck of the case. This process is used to make the brass more ductile (flexible), in an effort to get a larger number of reloads out of a piece of brass. Making the brass more flexible can also give your load more accuracy because the case will better form to the chamber of your gun. In theory, this allows for more consistent velocities on a load-to-load basis. *Annealing is not guaranteed to increase the number of reloads you will get out of a piece of brass. Always inspect your brass after each firing and discard any cases showing signs of wear, cracking, or stress.
