I developed this pattern a while ago, when I became frustrated sewing little knitted pieces together to make a flower that can be felted.
This rose is knitted in one piece. There is a little bit of sewing to do before you felt it, but that is for shaping.
I have tried to include pictures of the rose made from different yarns. Each wool yarn does felt differently and that will affect your outcome. I have used Ashford Tekapo, Harrisville yarn and Noro.
Also, the way you sew your rose together, tightly or loosely, etc will affect it. I have found there is no wrong way to shape the rose, because in its natural state, it has many stages and it will look like one of those stages.
