The Sashiko Handbag is inspired by traditional Japanese sashiko stitching. It has a gusseted body, top zipper, and corduroy handle held on by brass d-rings. For a custom look, pick out your handle fabric and then match your embroidery floss to that fabric.
The detailed directions walk you through the stitching, even if you've never cross-stitched before. Five pages of illustrated directions guide you through the assembly so you can produce a professional bag, even if you've never inserted a zipper.
It measures 10" by 6 1/2" by 2 1/2" deep, and it makes a nice small handbag. It's stitched on 14 count aida using DMC floss.
