Appomattox Courthouse and the McLean House in Appomattox VA. Both were important on April 9, 1865, first as the site of one of the last battles of the Civil war and the location of the surrender of the Confederate Army by Robert E. Lee. An emotional place to visit. If you forgot to buy your souvenir needlework during your visit, or if you’ve just read about Appomattox and its important history, or if you're planning to visit in the future, this is your chance to make a needlework representation for the wall of your “travel room” or a pillow, or even clothing embellishment.
Both small kits are by the same company and include a 5 x 5 inch square of creamy even weave fabric, needle, embroidery thread, instructions and the charted pattern. The Courthouse kit is unopened, the McLean house kit has been opened and started, but all of the thread is present.
