This listing it for ONE yard (91cm); there are 12 yards available. I wil cut to order. If someone wants 12+ yards, I will mail in it's original folder.
This is Kasuri woven Japanese cotton fabric. Kasuri is a weaving method where the warp and/or the weft thread are dyed, before the weaving of the cloth. This is black, soft indigo blue and touches of wine (red).
I had to carefully count the layers and multiply by the 7 & 1/2" across the folded fabric. There were 58 layers. That means there is a minimum of 12 yards. It is 13 & 3/4" (34.9cm) wide.
This fabric is "sewn into" the original heavy card stock "envelope", as it was originally sold. It is in excellent unused condition.
I have seen similar Kasuri fabric on Etsy for 30.00-40.00/yard. If someone wants the entire bolt, I will refund $24.00.
There are so many things that could be done with this beautiful, vintage fabric. Jackets, totes, place-mats, table runners... All this needs is your imagination.
A note about the photos. I don't know why, but the first 3 photos show a very accurate resemblance to the folder's colors, but made the fabric way too blue. The 4th photo best shows the blue, but the black is far darker and "crisper" than that photo shows.
