Charming, antique cabinet doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each door is made of solid pine and has 4, true-divided lites.
Each door is painted white on both sides. We could either completely strip the paint, or prep the surface of the doors for a fresh coat of paint. Email us with a description of what you would like done, the quantity of doors you need, and we'll give you a quote.
The doors are not equipped with hardware. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the doors (check out our eBay store).
The ends of the mullions or muntins are curved, like many windows produced during the Victorian era. The curves are only visible on the exterior side. Another feature of the Victorian era is that the 2 lites on top are taller than the 2 lites on the bottom.
The glass lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the interior side. Except for the putty around the broken area of Door#2 which was removed when the break occurred; the putty on all doors is intact and in good shape.
One last cool feature to point out is the small, round, brass buttons located on the interior corners where the pulls were originally installed. Each button has the a number from 1 - 4 representing their location on the cabinet that they were removed from.
Condition: Door#2 has a broken lite and a small chip in the interior corner where its button is located, and Door#3 has 2 cracked lites. We could replace any of the glass-email us for a quote.
All of the doors have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used, architectural elements. They will be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. There are no serious structural flaws like rot, warp, broken or loose joints, etc.
Size Increase? Are the doors too short, too narrow, or both? We could increase the size by a few inches. Email us with a description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
