This is for 2 ounces of Rosie's wool. She is a pure Shetland and I love her! She has lovely wool that is easy to spin. It isn't white or brown as you can see in the pictures. It is more of an oatmeal color. I spun some of this roving to make mittens and they are beautiful, warm, and hardworking just like a Shetland. I put some white paper next to the roving in one picture to better photo the color of her wool.
I find this roving very easy for me to spin. Its staple length was 5 inches and it seems to slide out of my hands into yarn. Great early or beginning spinner's roving. There is very little VM in this fleece, though there is a tiny bit, as they live outside in pasture, not a dirt lot.
My wool is processed at Yampa Valley Fiber Mill in Craig, Colorado and the sheep are raised at my home in Durango, Colorado.
