I am guessing that these shell-buttons were made in the 1940's based upon the look of the card.
Set of seven coordinating black, two hole buttons. Each button was made from a natural shell, so there is variation among the seven... however they are coordinated. Excellent iridescent patina to each button. Again, these are handmade, and made from a real shell, so please expect some variation. Each button measures approximately 7/16" in diameter.
Still carries it's 10¢ price tag from Willoughby's Store in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Upon doing some quick research, Willoughby's was in business in Cedar Falls, IA during the 1940's - 1960's.
