Lambswool Worsted Weight Yarn. Dye Base! Recycled, Sweater Qualities- 1400+ yards total, 19+ ozs! Knit, crochet, weave, macrame & rugs
The sweater the was made from this wool was a beautiful cabled sweater. The stitch definition and cables show beautifully with this yarn. This worsted weight lambswool is lofty, wonderfully soft and warm.
This wool is not scratchy at all and you will want to feel this against your skin. I actually put the sweater on and had a hard time taking it off before unraveling it! This yarn is so comforting and warm.
AT 10 wraps per inch this is a worsted weight yarn
Suggested uses- Knitting, crocheting, macrame, rug making and weaving as the weft. This yarn is not strong enough for a warp.

What to expect from yarn recycled from a sweater (please read!):
* The yardage is manually counted. To account for errors I have deducted my totals by 5%. This way I don't over promise on yardage. You will be getting the yardage listed and then some.
* Washing- I wash and rinse the yarn several times. I use tea tree and lavender oils for their antimicrobial properties. I also use added lanolin in the rinse water for wool yarn. Years of wearing and dry cleaning strips the wool of this natural softening oil. You may notice a slight tea tree or lanolin smell remaining. I am very sensitive to smells and nether of these bother me. If you are worried, please convo me. I will happily rinse the yarn several more times before shipping if needed.
* Hanging- Once rinsed the yarn is hung to dry in a shady spot in my yard. I do not weight the skeins to maintain the yarn's loft and bounce. As a result the yarn likely have subtle kinks that remain after being knit. This will not affect the usefulness of the yarn
*Some commercially knit yarn can be a little weaker than what you may be used to. This won't be a problem unless you are planning on using this yarn under high tension. I have made a note of the yarn's strength in the description. I am glad to send you more information including a pull test video if you'd like!
* Manufacturers join new a new cone of yarn with small knots. If I come across a knot sometimes I will leave it in the skein. I have noted these knots above. I can, however, miss a know. I try very hard to find them all but please understand that you may find one unexpectedly. The knots are usually tiny and were never noticeable in the finished knit sweater.
The small print:
I have a cat. No dogs and no smoking. The cat is kept away from the yarn
Please allow for variation in screen colors. Please ask any questions before ordering. If color is critical I can send you a sample and I will hold the yarn until you've received the sample. Convo me
