This lovely piece of fabric is from an unused bolt of vintage Japanese silk kimono fabric. The condition is very good vintage - but this is a delicate fabric to begin with - very light and airy, it is a traditional (traditional pre WWII) lining fabric for kimono. Japanese kimono fabrics generally come in 14" wide bolts to accommodate the rectangular construction of kimono.
This is a really lovely pattern of circles of tachibana blossoms and paulownia flower circles woven in lightweight lining or juban (underkimono) silk with tiny goldust patterns throughout. It is a rich deep true red. This has a lovely drape and hand and is in very good condition. This would make elegant Christmas items in this colorway but it's a wonderful pattern anytime of year. It is much lighter then the silk crepe used for an outer kimono/haori.
This is 14 wide; Price is for a single cut of a 59" piece but I MAY have more if you need more.
Colors may vary slightly depending on the monitor.
I can fit about 8-11 yards of fabric in a flat rate medium box for $11.30 to US locations, and about 4 yards in a $5.25 flat rate box, so if you want to combine shipping with any of my other fabrics let me know & I'll arrange that for you. Obi fabrics take more room and so fewer yards of obi fabrics will fit in a combined box; convo me for details if buying multiple cuts of obi fabric.
