"Little Greenie" - Titanium tipped Ball supported spindle in Dymondwood, medium weight

This heirloom quality spinning tool is an original designed and made by Jory Freyee and Malcolm Fielding in the workshop of Malcolm Fielding. It is made from all Dymondwood. The whorl is mounted on a Dymondwood shaft and balance tuned with a small sterling silver insert for perfect spin. The tip is made from a metal insert of hard titanium alloy for extremely long life and fast spins.

Your spindle is finished to a smooth surface, polished with a french polish and then a final gloss of carnauba wax for a long lasting shine and protection.

The support tip has a fine smooth point for long spins. The flicking tip is slender and allows good speeds to be attained with ease. This spindle has a high speed spin, very long sustain and excellent balance. Balance is perfected by a tiny silver pin counterweight in the whorl (where needed - each spindle differs).

Your spindle is checked for quality and spin before despatch and comes with tip protectors and is packed with some Tasmanian Merino roving and a signed tag listing materials, sequence number and date of making.

Spindle weight - in the range 30 to 35 g (1.05 to 1,17 oz) approx length about 9.5 in (240 mm)

Payments

I accept Paypal payments and all major credit cards through Paypal.

Returns & exchanges

Cancellations - please consider carefully when you order as I do not accept cancellation requests unless there are exceptional circumstances. An order cancellation involves quite a bit of time as the original order has to be removed from our database, after being entered and customer records created, refunds arranged and we have to correspond with Etsy about it. The goods involved are also then unavailable to buyers, for up to a week after we send a cancellation request to Etsy. In the event that we agree to a cancellation, we may then then make a cancellation charge of $10 US or 10% of the order value whichever is greater to cover our losses in administration time. In law in most countries a paid order is a contract between both parties, Etsy.com policy is that cancellations are at the sole discretion of the supplier.

I will replace goods at my cost (or refund item costs) that are found to be faulty in manufacture for up to six months from sale. Faulty items must normally be returned to me. Damage caused by inappropiate use or fair wear and tear is not covered by my warranty. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning items to me, replacements will be shipped free of charge.

I can quote to repair items that have been damaged by the owner or accidentally. Please contact me for details.

Additional policies
