GORGEOUS Prim Crow Woods Blocks Instantly Downloadble Digital File PDF and JPEG EaSY CRaFT dEcoupAge
This is a digital file
Paint your wood blocks black, add some clear varnish after you are finished adding the prints to the blocks and I PROMISE, these are beautiful! Prim, dark and kinda grungy, they are gorgeous!
Included in this file are
1) a printable pdf sheet of the wood block printable
2) a printable jpeg sheet of the wood block printable.
The top wood block is 6 inches across x 4 inches deep and the bottom wood block is 7 inches across x 4 inches deep.
NOTE: I finished making this wood block today and it's beautiful! I used a black paint on my blocks, roughed up my block a little with sandpaper, added my prints (I printed these on a regular paper which was all I had on hand) and varnished clear. It turned out really nice and so prim!
OR.... how to make these wood blocks (They are so easy!) Print off on regular paper if you want or you can use decoupage paper OR :-) do as I do and use Photo paper. I use Canon Matte Photo paper that I get on Amazon but it's easily available at Walmart or other places that sell photo paper. After printing I do let dry for 24 hours. I do have a customer that does her printing at a photo printing shop such as Staples or Walmart on their colored photo copier for about 50 cents per sheet. With decoupage or photo paper, the ink does not bleed like it does sometimes with an inkjet printer. You can even email the digital jpeg sheet or the pdf file to Staples print center and pick it up the next time you are by their store! Load the jpeg image or the pdf file on your thumbdrive and use their self service photocopy machine. You can also upload your images to the Walmart online site (choose 8 x 10 for the size) as I do and pick them up on your next trip there!
Cut out your wood blocks, sand, stain and paint the back and edges of each block. I do this outside because of the smell. :-)
I mix my own decoupage which is 3/4 cup of white inexpensive glue like Elmers to 1/4 cup water and stir well. Paint this mixture on the front of your block, place your cut out image on the front of the block and working from the center, press out the air bubbles with your fingers. Do this a few times to make sure all of the bubbles are out.
Apply the decoupage mixture over the top of the image to seal. Apply varnish to get the exact look you want but these images on wood look fantastic just as they are!
Wait until dry and then rough up the edges of the block with a piece of sandpaper. I rough until I get the look that I want.
Thank you for stoppin' by Prim Printables!
