When you are making leather or other fabric items, there is often a need for straps and accessory belts. On a long weekend, you may want to make some watchbands or bracelets, bag straps, or other case accessory belts. In all of these activities, the one tool that you can use across the board will be the Six Strap Template Tool.
The way we designed this tool, was to get the most out of your straps and belts without needing to pick up the device or any other.
The method of Use:
Using a belt draw knife cut your 3/4" | 19.05mm or 1" | 25.4mm strap. Place your strap under the tool and line up the template for the size of strap you are working with. Choose the end you would like to have and trace this out on your strap. Use your form of measurement on where you would like your adjustment holes to start and using the same tool, line up the belt and use the holes marked at 1/2" | 12.7mm apart to make your marks for punching those holes. The holes are measured at 5/32" | 3.97mm which are the same size as rivet and snap stems as well, so if you like you can use your punch in the holes to mark the spots. On either side of the tool, we have also included 1/4" and 3/16" oval punch guides that are spaced 1/4" apart.
Finally, we have designed all of the corners to include measurement radius cuts so you can even use this tool on other projects that you would like a steadily rounded corner arc.
This tool comes in a variety of color options so check out which, you would prefer. The colors will stand out on your workbench so it is always easy to find.
*Please note that you should use this tool for measurement only, do not use this while punching holes in between the leather and the tool. Acrylic is durable but breakable.*
