Inspired by the tracery in a window in the nave of Beverley Minster, this download lets you create a greeting card, note card, notelet or blank card using you adult colouring doodle art.
It is a hand drawn black and white design for you to print out on A4 paper.
When you have decorated it, you can fold it in half to make a greeting card, or a note card for a small thank you letter.
This listing includes four jpg files, using the design in different formats:
• The full design, A4 size. Printing this, colouring it and folding it makes an A5 greeting card with a design on the front and the back. • The full design covering half a piece of A4, to make an A5 card with a plain back, or an A6 card with a French fold (see below). • Two files, each showing half the design and a plain back, or an A6 card with a French fold (see below).
You probably know that most felt tip pens show through ordinary copier paper. You can use the French fold technique to get round this problem. If the design only covers half a piece of A4, folding it in half along the top of the design, then in half again, creates an A6 card with a patterned front and back, and a clean blank card inside. You can see this in one of the pictures above.
Please note that this is a digital file to download from Etsy. You will NOT receive a physical product. All digital sales are final and are non-refundable.
There are dozens of ways you can personalise this design. The pictures in this listing show just some of the possibilities. If your printer is like mine, and struggles to pull the paper through straight, you may find it useful to have a thin black felt pen to carry the lines through to the edge of the paper.
Doodle art using an outline to create a coloured drawing is a restful way to create a useful notelet or greetings card. Zentangle your way into art therapy!
