Bought these raw fleece from a high grade local farm in the US.
I painstakingly hand washed them in small clusters with the best wool shampoo in the market.
I hand dye/paint the locks in 1/2 batches.
Perfect for dolls, especially needle felt dolls.
These curly locks comes in different lengths and little clusters which makes it easier to style and attach.
Most locks have slight fuzz on them which is pretty normal.
Try a 1/2 oz and you can see the difference in your dolls, bjd, reroot, blythe, unicorn, horse, whatever you create.

Why am I crazy for hand dyed/painted curly locks?
Well, probably cos I have very fine, thin hair myself and having lost all of it when I had cancer 25 years ago. heheheh! That's why you will notice all my dolls have tons of hair! ;)
After making so many dolls, I feel the hair is the final touch that gives it a special personality (besides its facial expression).
When I first started, I used yarn as doll hair. They are fine but I graduated to sheep's curly locks.
Before I started my own curly locks collection , I bought some online and they came in a jumble mess of a cluster.
I had to pick through them and lost a lot because of massive matting, tons of vegetable matter, weak coloring, and what not.
Feeling frustrated and not getting what I wanted, I decided to literally take matters into my own hands.
So I bought raw fleece, processed/wash them myself and finally color those curly locks myself like an artist that I am.
Every step of the way, I made sure I take great care in processing them and keeping in mind that all these are for doll hair, meaning no giant batch washing and no giant batch coloring.
I now color my doll hair like I paint my art work. Besides being a Doll Artist, I'm also a Fine Art & Decorative Artist. I was also a floral /wedding designer way back when ;) Being creative is like breathing to me. I feel the need to create and easily get lost in my little world.
