There is an incredibly magical place and its on the forest floor. Its the land of mushrooms and ferns and moss and slugs and rich black soil. Last spring I was hiking in the Redwoods on the West Coast and there was this tiny white mushroom and this absolutely huge tree. I captured this photo and proceeded to turn it into a drawing and then it became a patch.
Dye sublimation is an extremely durable textile printing process which fuses dyes into polyester fabric. I've transferred these prints onto 100% recycled pop bottle polyester using a heat press. I've backed the fabric with Wonder Under, fabric adhesive so that you may iron the patch on and sew the edges easily. These patches are not fully iron on. The adhesive backing is for positioning only and they need to be sewn or pinned in order to stay on whatever item you choose. The patch is totally machine washable and is exceptionally durable. Can be appliqued onto a tee shirt, jacket, bag, hat, pants, wall hanging, altar cloth, quilt....it's up to your imagination.
