Note: This yarn contains protein fibers. Protein fibers should only be dyed with acid dyes, a process which requires acid added to allow the color to 'bite' the fiber and heat, to set the color. The acid is usually white distilled vinegar acid.
This yarn will only need soaking in a warm bath. It is specifically made for dying - no scouring is needed.
It is recommended that you check all the choke ties on this skein prior to dyeing. The choke ties that are currently on the yarn will most likely not be adequate for your dying process and more ties should be added.
For best results, this yarn should be washed by hand in warm soapy water, and laid flat to dry. Due to the added Cashmere, it is not recommended that you machine wash your yarn - even though it does contain superwash wool.
Note: The Superwash Merino portion of this yarn comes from Argentina and Uruguay. It is sourced from many farms of varying sizes, from smaller to larger farms.
