On offer is 1 meter from a bolt of 0.67 m wide of handwoven, homespun linen/flax , of a medium texture, uneven woven fiber which gives a lot of character to the fabric, unwashed. Beautiful natural colour.

This linen has just few storage marks where it was folded which are going to go away with a soak over night. I know that from my long experience of dealing with handwoven linen, which by the way it seems to clean very well. Just soak it over night in warm water in which you have already dissolved washing powder. It will come to you unwashed so expect very little shrinkage.

Good for different projects: napkins, decorative cushions, or upholstery projects like chair covers, handmade bags or as a canvas for your paintings...only your imagination is the limit..
It has unequal fiber thickness, which gives the fabric a nice texture.

Linen is renowned for its spectacular durability and long life. The tensile strength of linen thread is twice as high as that of cotton and three times that of wool;

The word linen is derived from the Latin for the flax plant, which is linum, and the earlier Greek linon. One of the world's oldest fabrics, linen is woven from the fibers of the flax plant and is a completely natural resource perhaps the most ecologically sound fabric of all.
Linen is available in different qualities varying from almost silk-like to sack-linen. Linen is usually white to ivory, may be washed at 95 deg C and should be ironed when damp. When being washed the first time, linen shrinks,as is the case with most natural fibers.

Flax yarns and fabrics increase about 20% in strength on wetting. Linen is also therefore stronger when being washed, resulting in greater longevity than, for example, cotton.
Over time linen textiles become softer and actually improves in comfort.

When linen fabrics are in contact with the skin, the nodes along the length of the fibre absorb perspiration, then swell and release the moisture to the outside air, thus creating a fabric self cooled by evaporation. As a result linen is a popular choice for bedding particularly in hot climates.

Linen is highly hygroscopic as it is capable to rapidly absorb and yield moisture. It evaporates water as quickly as the pond surface. Linen can absorb up to 20% of its own weight in moisture while still feeling dry to the touch. That explains why linen cloth always feels fresh and cool
Linen is virtually lint free, non-static, non-allergenic, naturally insect-repellent and gives UV protection.

Pure linen damask is the name given to products woven from pure flax yarns in a special manner so that patterns are visible even in an all white cloth.

Linen is woven from the fibres of the flax plant and is a completely natural product. Linen fibre is totally biodegradable and recyclable..

I aim to deliver the next day, but please allow 3 working days.
I generally post simple airmail which is the less expensive postage, unless you asked me otherwise. This will cover the item for £20 only, and I always keep the receipt and ask for proof of postage. So, if the parcel goes lost in post, I can claim the £20 with proof of postage and receipt and when these money are recuperated, they will be paid to your account.
Note it is always a risk that the item values more than £20 yet it is sent with just £20 cover. If you want it insured for the real value please let me know, but then the postage costs will be higher.

If I send by courier because the item is heavier than 2 kg, then there will be options for insurance and I will let you know and discuss with you the options for insurance in advance
If by any chance there is some delay in posting the item/s I will always let you know in advance

I would prefer if you could pay immediately by PayPal (no e-cheques) otherwise quick check out with your card should also be fine.

Returns & exchanges

If by any chance you are not happy with your purchase, I aim to solve this with you amicably. You can return the item and I will refund your payment on receipt of the item.
If by any reason you want to return a piece of fabric which was cut from a bolt, I can still refund you for it, after sending it back to me, but it will be less the postage costs and a £10 restock charge. 99% of shops will not accept returns for fabric cut from a bolt or a large piece

If the item is not received and it is lost in post, I will file a complaint to the Royal Mail or the courier I send it with and I try to get the money the item was insured for. Please read my delivery policies. I will refund money when the courier provider is refunding me.
Please make sure that you are happy with these policies. I will always try my best to help you, my aim is to have a happy customer and resolve all problems in our both satisfaction. Thanks
