The original heirloom plant was given to me by a horticultural friend. After researching, I believe it to be Capsicum baccatum and is believed to be transferred from South America during the eighteenth century.
The pepper is mostly sweet with a slight detectable heat. The peppers are green to red and are tasty and very unusual. My plants grew three to four feet tall and continued to fruit throughout our summer and fall.
Our plants are organically grown and open pollinated. This listing is for at least 15 seeds from our 2017 crop.
