Czech glass carved large oval beads in a delicate rose pink with a brown, speckled "picasso" finish in the middle indentation and along the edges.
Production of glass beads in the Czech Republic (in an area called Jablonec nad Nisou) dates back to the 14th century. This age-old cottage industry is known for its fine workmanship and many of the beads are still made in small quantities by hand.
