Item details

Grab your skates and let's head to the rink! This modern quilt is inspired by retro roller skates and features a fresh color palette. The finish size is 60" x 72". This pattern is a beginner+ to intermediate skill level. It will introduce the maker to a modified drunkards path block and a new striped piecing technique.

The pattern includes easy to follow instructions and diagrams as well as a curve piecing tutorial. This design can be effortlessly modified to fit the makers desired color palette and will look great in prints too or spice it up with some neon.

Fabric Requirements:

4 1/4 yards background
1 1/2 yards white
1 yard black
1 yard accent and binding
4 yards backing

When I was in grade school it was still popular to go to the roller rink, rent a pair of skates and do the chicken dance! Before the Hokey Pokey I frequently re-energized with a licorice rope that would be tied to my belt loop if not finished. So when I saw Melody Miller's print, Roller Rink, for Cotton and Steel's Black and White 2017 fabric line I was instantly inspired to design a roller skate themed quilt.
