Best time to plant out side is late spring and early autumn September - October New plugs available March 2018 £30 = 40 plug tray including postage
DO NOT ORDER if you are not going to be at home or unable to collect the plants quickly from the delivery office as it is unreasonable to demand refunds for plants neglected by customers. The plants require a customer signature and i am not happy to advise that they are left with a neighbour due to previous bad experiences. Sorry for any inconvenience.
40 X 1 inch plug plants planted in chemical free compost mixed with castings from my tiger worms and liquid seaweed as a feed. Sunflower pebble mosaic with chamomile (Picture taken in my small walled back garden.) Medium Plants X 24 & Large Plants X 12 also available £30 including postage.
The plants are non- flowering cannot be grow from seed and are the most suitable low maintenance type of chamomile used for lawns and ornamental features. Roman chamomile is often sold as lawn chamomile which has flowers and tall stems. It grows from seeds but is not ideal as it needs constant clipping to keep under control unlike this low growing hybrid variety which is used by garden designers in schools hospitals and stately homes. ( trays ready now with well developed roots and healthy leaves) Grown outside and ready to be planted outside on arrival .
In prolonged bad weather the lawn may loose its leaves but they will grow back from the roots. (This happened to my lawn in 2009 when we had a very cold winter but it quickly grew back in the spring.) Apple scented low creeping hardy dwarf hybrid treneague plants. Low maintenance and do not require mowing or clipping. Perfect for ornamental lawns, seating and green roof structures as they are drought tolerant. New chamomile lawns should not be walked on for at least 12 weeks, and traffic should be kept to an absolute minimum for the first year. The plants will be sent in the tray inside a recycled box wrapped in newspaper slight damage may occur to the leaves but this will not effect growth. The plants propagate from damaged leaves pushed into the ground when walked upon. Local collection welcome. I will post Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend delays. (Last orders 11 am Wednesday)
Plant in a sunny sheltered spot outside into sandy free draining soil/compost or greenhouse/ cool window sill as they will need to be protected from frost until established if planted in early spring .
