Item details

ca. 1950 Collins Wooden Skirt Marker

Patented as the Nee Tan-Ezy (i.e., Neat 'an Easy) Self Skirt Maker, this ruler was designed to help with alterations. It originally had an attachment that sprayed chalk powder on the garment to mark where alterations were to be made. As is, it makes a neat desk ruler; the raised form makes it easy to grab and adds some extra weight so it stays in place easily. The screw at the end can be used for hanging.

In excellent condition.
