A quiet walk on the beach can reveal many things, all treasures of the natural world, from the gulls circling overhead, to the rocks tumbling about underfoot. Mother Nature also takes man made objects and using the wind and the waves, slowly makes them her own. This is what happens when glass gets into the sea, often from garbage dumps; it is turned into one of nature’s treasures: sea glass.
All my sea glass is hand collected on the beaches of the Pacific Northwest and the work of nature has not been altered in any way. These pieces have relatively even frosting and they have some chips and nicks, but no sharp edges. This glass is very beautiful despite the flaws, but not quite perfect enough to sell in small, individual, lots!
These pieces of randomly shaped clear (white) sea glass are perfect for jewelry making, drilling, sun catchers, mosaics, home decor, adding to a collection, or anything else you can dream up!
The photos are of the glass that your specified amount will be randomly chosen from. They range in size and vary in thickness so I chose a few average pieces to show next to a ruler. Keep in mind that some of the pieces you receive could be bigger or smaller, but look at that photo to get a general idea about the size of the pieces. I will try to include an even mix of large, medium and small pieces in your lot. The glass may be a little dusty from years of storage in a wood shop, but can be cleaned with a quick rinse or rub with a cloth.
The grade of these pieces would be mostly jewelry grade B with a few craft grade A. Learn more about sea glass grading here: http://www.odysseyseaglass.com/grade-sea-glass.html
Please note that sea glass needs to be handled with care and I am not responsible for any damage that occurs from drilling or other crafting applications.
