This Poncho packs a huge punch with the possibility of many colors and arrangements using Classic Elite Yarn’s Liberty Wool Prints and solid color yarn. An ideal project for the proficient crafter.
Squares are first woven using a 4-inch pin loom such as Schacht Spindle Company’s Zoom Loom, a simple crochet border is added, squares are laid out (so many possibilities), stitched together and finished with a cozy knit turtleneck and rib trim.
Materials: Classic Elite Yarns, Liberty Wool Print and Solid, 100% washable wool. 50 grams/122 yards 7893 Rainforest, 9 balls for woven squares, collar and ribbing trim 7815 Bright Olive Solid, 3 balls for crochet borders
Tools & Notions: 4-inch Pin Loom/Zoom Loom to make squares Size F/3.75 mm Crochet Hook for crochet around squares Size 8/5.0 mm 16” circular (or double point) for turtleneck, and 30” circular for sides and bottom ribbing, or size necessary to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 34 sts/24 rows = 4 inches in 2 X 2 ribbing, not stretched. Tapestry needle for sewing squares together
