This pair has a standard profile.
Image/Images are for color reference only, and may, or may not be the image of the actual size of pair.
All my eyes and irises are hand cast by myself in Polyester Resin. Each of my colors/designs is an original to my studio, accept no knock-offs. I have been doing this long before the competitors have! (At least 6-7 years).
My Poly Resin eyes and irises can withstand a baking temp range from 250 degrees f, to 300 degrees f, and can do so for multiple bakes.(With the exception of the safety eyes/irises). The plastic that the safety backs are made of can warp, or bend with extended heat applications.) Please allow for slight variations in each pair. Depending upon treatments, they can, and do vary in appearance.
Profiles are generally standard height in ratio of diameter (please View Chart) Some diameters/sizes do have either higher, or lower profiles. Flat Backs are solid, and not hollow. There is NO Corneal Bulge.
***IMPORTANT CUSTOMER INFORMATION***
If you are not 100% sure of what size you need, always order up a size, this is especially important for BJD Sockets. If you order too small, they can pop out of the opening of the BJD’s eyes. ALWAYS measure your BJD’s eye socket at the widest point, in Millimeters. I do offer in-between sizes like 3mm, 5mm, 7mm, 9mm, 11mm...etc. If you do not see an in-between size listed, please contact me directly, I may have it in stock, and if not...I can certainly cast it for you, during the regular casting season.
Even though most applications used with my poly resin eyes are done in polymer clay, the oils do damage the finish. The longer the oils stay on them, the deeper the damage caused. Using a water based masque like liquid frisket, or other latex masking fluid to coat the lenses and protect them is the best way to prevent the problem.
Here is a couple links to some examples:
Please, take the extra time to complete this important step; It will save you a whole lot of headaches trying to repair the damage. Thank you
For use in BJD’s: When using a BJD setting putty, STAY AWAY FROM ANY EPOXY BASED PUTTY! Epoxy based putty has oils, and solvents in them that will cloud your eyes. If you get any oil or residue on these resin parts it will cloud the surface of the resin. Respectively, once this residue is baked, or dried onto the resin areas, the damage is permanent. You must avoid any contact as much as possible. There are other alternatives to use like Silicone putty (like in earplugs), and sulfur-free plasticine/plastilene clay.
If you are concerned about other material compatibility and baking/chemical reactions, I include a few tips, and instructions with every invoice, and receipt in every package shipped.
If you have any other questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email, and I will be more than happy to help solve your problem.

All Eye orders are shipped via First Class Mail. I use a bubble lined, padded envelopes to protect your purchases. It is up to the purchaser to contact their postal service to find out what the status of their package is during transit.
I try to use the least expensive shipping method available; This way I can charge you, the client as little as possible. Sometimes it is difficult to gauge what the costs will be especially with non-flat rate shipments.
For this exact reason, my shipping & handling costs are priced at a FLAT RATE regardless of the postmark on the package.
First class postage is based upon package size and weight. *This does not include handling charges.*
Handling charges include listing costs, paypal/Etsy fees, fuel cost to post office and packaging materials.
I prefer using PayPal for all internet concessions. I do not like to receive personal checks. Use of Credit Cards is acceptable through PayPal.
As of yet, I haven't included taxes, as for my business is very small. In future, I may have to include tax if my company expands markets.

All my Irises and eyes are all hand-made by myself, and not mass produced. Each design can be customized per individual request. I have hundreds of colors, and styles to choose from. Some designs can be made specific for AD type (full eye with whites) I have even gotten requests for whites that are black in color.
'Glass-like' is a general term. Most listings with that terminology, consist of various resins, of plastic. Several manufacturers have different formulations, and many eye makers tend to switch to different brands depending on availability.
The pros of using resin based eyes are that they are lighter, and will not scald, or burn polymer clays when they are baked together. They are softer than glass so as to better customize an eye; via sanding, or carving. And lastly, they are a much less expensive alternative to glass. (you may have already noticed that fact) $$$
The cons of using resin based eyes is that they will not stand up to temps higher than 325 degrees f. Also, being a resin, they can be affected by solvents, and will make them cloud, or even soften. They are a relatively soft material, so can scratch, or nick. Some people are sensitive to the ingredients of these resins, and may have a reaction to the fumes, if they are all heated in large quantities. Some people get a contact reaction such as a rash. That is why all my eyes are shipped automatically with coating, unless a client specifies otherwise.
I offer lines that are either Iris only, Or Art Doll (AD) 'with the whites'. They are mainly flat backed so as to be more flexible to the user for more varied applications. I do offer full-globe eyes as well, but they are much more expensive to make, and take more time, and effort. The pricing reflects that fact. (usually triple the cost).
My quality standards are as follows:
Casting with resins, has some issues with bubbles being trapped within layers of color, and effects. I lose between 40 and 60% due to defects that do not meet my personal quality standards. Small bubbles are allowed around Iris parts of the designs. However, any visible bubbles that exist inside the Pupils are not accepted. Bubbles that may affect the strength of the eyes are automatically junked, as they may cause splitting of the layers, and render them useless.
Usually, the smaller the mm size, the less defects occur. That is a good thing with casting. Most of my defective rates increase in percentage exponentially as the mm size gets larger. Eyes and Irises within the mm sizes between 4mm and 10mm have the smallest rejected rate, (less than 15%). The smaller mm of 3mm has its own difficulties with lack of detail and increased effort in finishing.
Customers must be aware that these products are hand-made, so every pair will vary in shade and quality, but I do my very best to make sure each pair matches, and are symmetrical.
Profiles of these flat-backed eyes are usually mid-range in height. I do offer *Lower Profiles as well, but am slowly phasing them out of my molds. Some of my mold sizes have higher profile eyes, but only a few. 'Paperweight' styles are currently not offered regularly. I do still cast them, only upon special request. Extras left over from orders will list in the 'Seconds/Sales' Section of this shop. *Lower Profiles are also available upon request. You can contact me directly if there is something special needed to be cast.
