Large block stamp with tile or quilt pattern, produced by Stampa Rosa, of Santa Rosa, California. (The company is presumed out of business.)
The stamp's repeating block pattern provides a good background for card designs and other projects. In addition to using traditional dye or pigment inks, this stamp design lends itself to the watercolor technique, applying water color paints or water-based ink markers directly to the stamp. With this technique, the individual components could be detailed to create a very colorful background. (If you're unfamiliar with the technique, ask me and I'll explain.)
Single stamp - block measures about 3 5/8” by 4 5/8”.
Gently used and in good condition with very light staining on the rubber. The reference image on the wood shows some wear.
Stamp has been cleaned with professional rubber stamp cleaners (no lanolin).
