Item details

A toy knitting pattern pdf to make some characterful farmyard favourites. A splendid cockerel, a chick, duck and duckling and a lamb. They are easy to knit as a whole farm playset ; or any of them would make cute little gifts for Spring and Easter time.

These are rather exuberant floppy shapes and were originally made quite large, knitted on jumbo needles, as you can see by the size and tension gauge (see image 5 here –please scroll). You can make them this large -but they work just as well in ordinary DK (light worsted) weight yarn. However you would need to rescale the charted pieces accordingly and probably you will not need any foam etc. for the legs. You could knit “i-cords” [or fatter knitted “tubes”] for these if using finer yarn. You could also knit the feet shapes if you are willing to make up variations to a pattern.
The cockerel can also be adapted to create a hen; I can help with this if needed.

PLEASE SCROLL THE IMAGES ABOVE FOR OTHER VIEWS AND MATERIALS/SIZES ETC.
All my PDF patterns come with conversions UK/USA, extra freebies and my own extensive yarn notes research. (you can see this in my shop reviews).
I also support the patterns and will answer email queries-no matter how basic. I love to knit & to crochet and I want you to be able to use the patterns; I have even worked samples etc to help.
I use high resolution scans-and where I think it is needed they are reformatted [beyond just “cleaning up”]; I have used my experience of teaching knitting and crochet, so they are easier and clearer to work from. For example instructions are often amended so that all relevant bits are together on one page.

Please note, all WonkyZebra listings are for pattern instructions in English. My words in this description are written in English. If you are reading them in any other language they have been translated by ETSY software and may not accurately say what I intended. Very few of the patterns have charts, most are written instructions in English using English crochet terms.

Additional return information
WonkyZebra ToyPatternLand is very sorry, but he cannot give refunds on emailed pdf - patterns.

Because of the nature of patterns, like most pattern sellers, we do not give refunds once the pattern is sent. However we always try very hard to ensure you will be able to understand and enjoy your pattern and produce something from it.
Sometimes this will be advice and sample photographs, sometimes an alternative will be offered, at no extra charge.

Additional policies

Please be aware that WonkyZebra ToyPatternLand patterns are reproduced vintage patterns, while all are checked, it is possible that some instructions might be difficult to understand depending on your native language and pattern reading experience. WonkyZebra did not write the original patterns and so you may encounter an occasional construction difficultly. We will always help, using years of experience, but the original designer is not here with us.
