Hand dyed Shetland roving, handpainted roving for spinning or felting. This roving consists of two strands-one in a dark and one in a light version of the same green (with a touch of blue). These could be combined in many ways, including fractal spinning and gradient spinning. The roving started with fleece from our friends' flock of Shetland sheep, sheared last spring on their farm in central Indiana, processed into roving at a family-owned fiber mill in Michigan, and dyed by my hands in my kitchen, using food safe dyes. This Shetland roving is light and a joy to spin. This listing weighs more than 4 ounces. This batch is one-of-a-kind. Dyed in a smoke-free, cat-friendly home, it will be shipped sealed in a zip lock plastic bag, with a handmade organic lavendar sachet. (If you don't want the lavendar, please convo me and I'll omit it.) The roving will compress during shipping, but should fluff back out, once freed from its plactic bag.
There are lots of shades of color in this roving. It was photographed in natural light, but the colors may vary from what you see on your computer monitor. The roving was washed and rinsed carefully and thoroughly after dyeing, but it still may release a little color if it is washed. To wash the roving, yarn spun from it, or items knitted with the yarn, please handwash, using cool water, a mild soap (or a wool wash), and dry flat or on a drying rack. (28R 4 0z)
I will ship to the address given on your order. Please check it before you submit the order to be sure that it is correct. I ship by USPS; when I ship, you will receive an email from Etsy giving you the tracking number.
I accept payment through Etsy Direct Checkout, which allows you to pay using credit or debit card, Etsy gift card, or Paypal. As an Indiana seller, I am required to collect sales tax on any orders shipped to an Indiana address. The sales tax will be added to your total prior to checkout. The prices stated in my listings do not include any taxes or VAT.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I'm glad to accept returns if you contact me within 7 days of receiving the item and return the item to me within 14 days. In that case, as soon as I receive the item back, I will refund the purchase price. The shipping charge is not refundable, unless I have shipped you the wrong item or it is damaged. If, before I have shipped your order, you ask to cancel, I will refund both the purchase price and the shipping cost.
