Cheviot 100g hand painted British wool combed top

Colour - Sublime

The Cheviot breed is one of the oldest in the world. Because of its many desirable traits has been the foundation of many of Scotland's hardiest breeds (including North Country Cheviots and Scottish Blackface ).

Cheviot is a great fibre for new spinners or expert, an easy spin. It's staple length is approx 4-5 inches, it was the foundation wool for the Scottish Tweed industry.

Felters love it too! Cheviot is a great fibre for new spinners or expert, an easy spin,a really good all purpose wool. Ideal for needle felting, buyers have used it for 2D and 3D felting, it felts quicker than Merino.

I don't think we spin it enough. For hats, gloves etc. it takes some beating.

We are a cat friendly non smoking home.

I use a Nikon camera and my colours are true on my monitor, be aware monitors vary. If in doubt please ask.
