I designed this beanie in collaboration with Fairlight Fibers to celebrate all of you amazingly talented MAKERS out there who support and inspire me every day. Some knit, some crochet, some spin and dye yarn, some paint, some sew, some make jewelry, some play music, some work with clay.....all of you are artists, and I am grateful to be a part of this community. The MAKER Beanie is amazing because it looks great on both guys and girls! Plus, it is such a fun and relaxing design. This pattern uses a variety of different knitting techniques to help you master the basics. The pattern includes detailed instructions and plenty of pictures to help you along the way, so it is perfect for those who are new to knitting in the round and who want to learn how to knit using multiple colors.

To create the MAKER beanie, you will need approximately 125 yards of Color 1 and 32 yards of Color 2 in a worsted/medium (4) weight yarn. I highly recommend Stonehedge Fibers’ Shepherd’s Wool from I used the Pewter for Color 1 and Granite for Color 2. You will also need 16" circular knitting needles in size 7. You will need to know how to knit, purl, and how to do the long-tail cast on; and I will teach you the rest. It's all quite simple! I recommend this pattern for beginner to intermediate knitters; it can be created in about 4 hours.

Please only use this pattern for your own personal enjoyment; in other words, you may not sell what you make using this pattern. You may not claim ownership of this pattern; you may not use my photos and/or instructions for any purpose other than to knit the MAKER beanie yourself; and you may not share, sell, or distribute my pattern in any way.
