Item details

I believe this sheet of vintage hot iron on embroidery transfers is one of The pages that was tucked in the Workbasket needlework magazine. It features an adorable little girl tackling her household chores. She's sweeping, backing, sewing, ironing, and doing the dishes. She's also taken a break to go to church where we see her singing.

The sheet also has a pansy design for embroidery and cutwork on pillow cases or a vanity set. The floral theme continues with a riot of morning glories growing on a trellis. While the morning glories could also be used for pillow cases, the sheet notes they are for a luncheon set.

The sheet has much more, though! Sprinkled across the sheet are miscellaneous little floral designs, a set salt and pepper shakers, and a small kitten. These designs would make a wonderful personal touch on the collar or cuffs of a shirt, handkerchiefs, or even a tiny mark for the opposite corner of a tea or dish towel.

This sheet of redline embroidery transfers is uncut and intact. There is a little wear at some of the corner folds, but nothing that affects the ability to use the patterns. Instructions are included in the upper left corner of the sheet.

Christmas is just around the corner, so now is the time to get started on those handmade gifts! Hand embroidered tea towels will be treasured forever.
