This is a group of 3 Rio Grande Turkey Tail feathers. Local hunters who feed their families with wild turkey provide me with tails and wings. I hand pluck these feathers myself. These feathers have been frozen to kill any mites or other critters that dine on feathers in nature to ensure they do not degrade over time. Many of the feathers I obtain from my hunter friends are used in my creations. At this time I have an over abundance of Rio Grande Turkey tail feathers, so I have decided to share them with others. If you need a larger order, please do not hesitate to convo me for a special order listing to meet your specific needs.

2 of the 3 have their quills intact, one had to be clipped to remove it from the turkey tail. Some have a few signs of age, which is nothing more than a result of natural use over a long period of time. The original owner loved the condition they are in and I see absolutely no reason to modify them.

The group are all just under 15 inches long....they were measured from tip of feather to tip of quill. The widths average 2 3/4 3". The unique brown marbled stripes are topped with a wide band of black and then the tips are finished off with a golden-tan color. 2 of the 2 have an incandescent sheen in the black stripe at the top. You will receive the feathers pictured in the listing.

These feathers are absolutely wonderful to use in ceremony, smudging with sage or as accents in floral or other decorations. They will bring the beauty of the wild outdoors into your home....certainly into any man-cave!

Postage listed in ad is for USPS Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Delivery Confirmation is not available on some forms of foreign postage options, but will be used when available.

Buyers located outside the USA are responsible for customs fees, tariffs, etc.

All purchases will be dutifully packaged and ready to ship within 3-5 business days from the date payment is received. Items are not shipped on weekends or holidays. Most often, I will ship items on the same or next business day of payment receipt. I will contact you if any unexpected delays occur.

To ensure verifiable delivery, your items will ship via USPS with Delivery Confirmation. I will email you the delivery confirmation tracking number once your item has shipped. Items will be shipped to the address you have on file with Etsy. If you want your package shipped to a different address, you will need to provide that address when you pay for your purchase.

Expedited shipping and insurance are available at additional charges based upon the item. Should you want either of these option, please contact me PRIOR to payment so I can adjust the shipping charges accordingly. Orders over $100 will require insurance and signature confirmation. Please note that neither of these options expedite your order. Please note the USPS includes insurance of up to $50 for priority mail packages. When available and cost effective, priority mail will be used.

Multiple items that can be combined into one package will have a discounted rate. Should Etsy charge you for shipping for each item ordered, I will refund shipping overages paid with combined shipments.

Postage rates are higher for international shipping. Buyers are responsible for customs charges, tariffs, etc. Expect longer shipping times for international orders.

Local pickup in the Allen Texas area are welcome. Shipping fees will be refunded for orders that are picked up locally.

Returns & exchanges

Should an item arrive that does not meet your expectation, I will work with you to correct a defect on any item. Please contact me within 3 business days of receiving your item so that I may resolve your concern in a timely manner.

All refunds must be discussed with me PRIOR to their return shipment.

Refunds will only be granted if the item is not as specified in the listing description. Shipping charges are non-refundable, which includes return shipping. In order to qualify for refunds, I must be contacted PRIOR to you shipping the item back to me and the item must be returned undamaged before the refund will be processed through the method the payment was received.

Although every effort is made during packaging to prevent damage during shipment, remember that only items insured will be protected against damage. If insurance is not purchased, I am not liable for damage or loss of the item during shipping. If an item arrives damaged, please contact me within 2 business days so that I may process the claim with the USPS. When the USPS reimburses me for the claim, I will refund your purchase costs (excluding shipping unless the USPS refunds that as well). Please keep the shipping package if your item arrives damaged, as it may be needed to facilitate the insurance claim.

UPDATE May, 20, 2017: I recently had an item damaged due to my not packaging the item properly. The box was not damaged, but the item was not secured properly and incurred damage damaged during shipment. And while I make every effort to ensure items are packaged properly, on very rare occasions, I simply do not get it right. Should your item arrive damaged due to my error, I will most assuredly work with you in every way possible to repair or replace the item at no additional expense to you. It is my job to ensure you receive a quality product without damage. I take that responsibility and your trust in me very seriously. Should this occur, please contact me immediately and we will work through it together to ensure you are a happy satisfied client.

Additional policies

Since my home studio is pet friendly, I ask your understanding should an occasional stray hair be included with your order. I have a spunky jack russell terrier and two rather sulky, sometimes loving cats. All items created in a smoke-free environment. Every item is lovingly cleared and blessed prior to shipping.

Unless specifically noted in the product description, my creations are not made for children or pets.

If you wish to place a custom order, please contact me. Since every creation is one of a kind, I will not be able to duplicate one creation in another color, etc., however I am willing to discuss with you your desires and create an item to your specifications. Custom items may take several weeks to complete due to discussions, photo approval, etc.

I try to photograph my creations accurately and will use various light forms to help you decide if a creation is for you. Please keep in mind different computer display color differently, so there may be slight color variations between the online pictures and the actual product.

Clients that provide positive feedback via the Etsy feedback system will receive a discount coupon code for their next purchase. I truly want to develop an ongoing relationship with my clients.

CUSTOM ORDERS: In most cases, I will create your custom order without requiring a down payment. Should the item be a very expensive item, I will require a non-refundable down payment of 1/3 of the estimated final selling price. We will work together to determine a timeline for purchase and payment plans if needed. Custom items not purchased as agreed will be converted to open listing for purchase by any Etsy member. You will be notified via email prior to this occurring so we can discuss if an extension is needed for you to be able to purchase the item made for you. I truly want you to have the piece I created per your request, but I cannot hold a custom item indefinitely. I hope you understand this policy and my intent to work with you and maintain my business.
