I made this zip bag from an unfinished patchwork quilt top that I found, a lot of hours went into paper piecing these hexagons and so I hope I've done the maker justice by putting their work into a useable form. These are 60's cotton prints, that I've teamed with a heavyweight blue linen, blue zip and leather pull and lined with a waterproof sand coloured cotton.
This would be good as a small project bag, toiletries bag, pencil case...
I use a lot of vintage fabrics in my work because I think they are usually much better than the modern day equivalent, however this does mean the they may show signs of their age and previous life, this is what often attracts me!
Every single item is made by me in my very messy studio in Staffordshire, pop over to my blog to see what I'm up to at didyoumakeityourself.com
