Item details

If you want to sublimate multiple mugs at the same time, or want an economical way to begin sublimating mugs, the solution may be wraps. A wrap is simply a piece of silicone with a latching mechanism that goes around the item to be sublimated, over the sublimation transfer, holding it securely in place. Mug wraps can be a less expensive way to get started with sublimation, since the cost of wraps is generally less than the cost of a mug press.

Sublimation Oven Mug Wrap Specs:
☕ 4.5" x 9.25" w/stainless steel clamping mechanism
☕ Easy to close
☕ Quick-latching
☕ Can be used to sublimate 11 oz. and 15 oz. mugs
☕ Can be used with other cylindrical products (water bottles, travel mugs, etc.) that have a similar diameter to a standard coffee mug (approximately 3" - 3.5").

Type of Oven Required:
Using an oven for sublimation requires that the oven can hold a consistent temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It is recommended that the same oven the household’s food is cooked in is NOT used. A convection style oven or a countertop toaster oven that can meet the temperature requirements will work best.

Size of Oven:
Be sure to use an oven that is large enough so that the wrap does not come in contact with the heating elements. For best results and wrap longevity, we recommend a minimum of 3" of clearance between any wrap and the heating elements.

Care of Wrap:
Silicone wraps can tear easily if nicked on the edge, so be careful to avoid nicks and cuts when using a wrap.

Using a Mug Wrap:
▸ A convection or toaster oven can be used for this process, as long as it can heat to 400 degrees. Do not use the same oven in which you cook food!
▸ Preheat convection oven to 400 degrees.
▸ Print sublimation transfer. Make sure to mirror the transfer print.
▸ Attach the transfer print to the item to be sublimated with heat tape. Make sure to smooth out any wrinkles so the transfer lies smoothly. The printed side should be against the surface to be printed.
▸ Place the wrap around the transfer and the item to be sublimated and secure
▸ Place the wrapped item in the pre-heated oven to cure for 10-15* minutes. (*Time and temperature will depend on type of item being sublimated and oven.)
▸ Once it is done curing, remove from oven. Unlatch wrap and remove transfer. Use caution, as the item will be hot.
