Item details

A golden oldie, this wooden knitting needle holder with a painted floral pattern! This is still a perfect way to keep your knitting needles stored and organized, or use them in a different way, for example to store incense sticks or long matches.

The holder is beautifully decorated with red and orange flowers. There is one crack (visible on the photo). The holder is 51 cm / 20 inch long.

I have a twin of this one for sale in different colors, please contact me if you would like to purchase both for a discounted price for the pair.

If you are from The Netherlands: I offer local pick up in Haarlem. As I work near Amsterdam Sloterdijk, I am happy to set up a meeting there on work days. Alternatively, I can offer shipping to a DPD Kiala pick up point for shipments to a limited number of European countries. Please add a note to your order if you would like this, any shipping overages will be returned to you.

I combine shipping whenever possible to save on your shipping costs. Please reach out to me before check out if you would like to get a correct shipping quote. Any shipping overages will be returned to you.

I wrap all items very carefully for their long trip across the world. If your item arrives damaged nevertheless, please make sure to provide me with pictures of the damaged package and item within 5 days and we can make arrangements about a refund. For items over 50 euro or equivalent, I am using insured shipping as a standard.

I sell vintage and antique items that deserve a new life with a new vintage-loving owner. This means that most or all of my items are used and often show some signs of wear or age. All effort is made to describe and photograph the items truthfully. There may be some minor flaws not described which are to be expected with items of age. Please be sure to read the full description of the item and look thoroughly at all the photos. Photographs are also part of the description. At times photographs can cause items to appear larger than they are so please read the measurement info in the listing. If there is something you'd like to see a clearer picture of or would like to know more about please feel free to ask!

Most of the items in my shop are fragile and need a lot of packaging material. To keep prices at a reasonable level and for environmental reasons, I use recycled packaging materials when available. If you want me to use only new materials, please let me know this before purchasing so I can provide you with a quote for this.

Some unidentified items are eligible for my special ‘share-your-knowledge’-discount: I try to identify every item before listing it on Etsy, but especially with vintage ceramics this is often difficult. As one of the pleasures I derive from vintage hunting is to learn more about every object, I would like to invite you to share your knowledge with me if you are able to identify the item (preferably with evidence) and, if unknown, what the function of the item is. If you decide to buy the item in question, I’ll give you a 10% discount plus my eternal gratitude in return for sharing your knowledge with me. All items that are eligible for this discount are described as such in the listing.

Daphnid Home Goods cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from using the products. For electrical items and lamps: It is the buyer's responsibility to find a qualified electrician to check the item(s) - regarding the assembly, installation, wiring, safety etcetera - before the item(s) are put into use. By buying products from Daphnid Home Goods the buyer agrees to these terms and conditions and the buyer will release Daphnid Home Goods and the owner of Daphnid Home Goods from any liability.

What is patina to one person, is a dirty old mess to someone else. It's a personal preference. As it takes years to build up patina, and just a bit of cleaning to get rid of it, I am very careful in cleaning vintage items before listing and selling them. I am mostly selling unrestored and untouched vintage items, and only do repairs if this is necessary to make the item in question functional. In this, I aim to use materials that fit the age of the item.
