I took porcelain clay and added sprigs of clay and used my handmade stamp to texture the sprigs with these swirling textures. I glazed them with this wonderful light green glaze. These three beads are approx 17-18 mm hole to hole and 20 mm at their widest. The stringing hole is approx. 1 mm.
Each batch of beads fires differently because I fire my kiln outside. Between the barometric pressure and humidity/temperature fluctuations, duplications of batches are rare. I make all ceramic beads in my home studio here in Fort Worth. I make small batches of various shapes, sizes, and textures.
