Typical shipping times from my location for items such as patterns going lettermail are as follows. To USA: 1 week to Montana, Oregon, Wash State, 8-10 days to California, 10-12 days to NY, 12-14 days to Florida and Texas. To Europe and Australia 16 days to 3 weeks. To Canadian Provinces: 2-3 days within BC and Alberta, 5 days to Ontario, 6 to the Maritimes. Parcels to the US go faster. Expedited goes the fastest 6- 9 business days, small packet a couples days more. International parcels under 1 kilogram will go Small Packet Air to Europe and Australia, and will take 7-11 business days depending on your location.

I will be contacting you to confirm your address before sending your package. To skip this, you may send me a quick email telling me your listed address is current.

I ship in the morning, Monday to Friday. Therefore, if your order and payment clears Tuesday afternoon, I will send it out Wednesday morning. If your order and payment clears Friday before 1 pm and it is easy to pack, I will try and get it out that day, otherwise I will send it out Monday morning.

If I have overestimated the shipping and the item ships cheaper by $2 or more, I will refund for the difference.

Parcels within Canada go Expedited with Insurance and Tracking. Typically this takes up to a week and the cost to me is the same as regular parcel. Xpresspost can be used at a cost of $11.50 more than the shipping quoted. Xpresspost will also get it to you in 2 business days.

For those in the US who would like tracking and insurance and your package is less than 1 Kilogram (about 2 lbs), I can send it in as a "Tracked Packet" for $2.50-7 CAD more, depending on weight. This should be available as a shipping upgrade for most "Small Packet" items listed. Packages more than that will go with Tracking and Insurance automatically.

For international customers, I generally only list items for sale Internationally if they are less than 500 grams and can be shipped by Small Packet Air which is 90 cm or less when measured in all 3 dimensions. This costs $20.50 CAD or less. Above that, the price jumps to $40 and up. I assume that most people won't want to pay that much, but if you really want it, I will adjust the listing so you can buy it. Also, tracking and insurance for even the lightest item starts at more than $41 CAD.

I will combine shipping for multiple items. This amount will typically be the amount of the highest priced shipping, plus half the shipping of the next item. All shipping prices depend on weight, so if the combined weight of the items comes under the weight charged for the heavier item, I will only charge the one shipping charge. I refund shipping overages all the time, so if I the listings are not set up for multiples, as is my pattern section, I will adjust it for you, either before or after purchase, but you will get the most accurate shipping cost if you wait for me to mail it.

Please make sure I have your correct address when you checkout.

Payments

I accept payments through Etsy and Paypal.

Returns & exchanges

I take time to research and give as much information as I can, including all defects I can find. If you would like more information or pictures, please contact me and I will provide them for you. This will eliminate the chances that you won't be happy with the item and wish to return it. But please realize that most of the vintage items in my shop are at least 40 years old, some a lot more. I will accept refunds only if items are not as they were described in the listing, not for a change of mind. After allowing for sufficient time, mail is sometimes late, I will refund items that do not show up.

My email is SidsWares@shaw.ca if you have any questions.

Additional policies

If an item sits for a couple months, I may barter with you on the price. Ask me. I may budge, I may not, but you can always ask.
